Ted Baker Poster tryout.

As of right now, it's way too early to be designing posters, as I don't even know what I want to say and how I want to say it yet but in terms of visuals I find it useful to get ideas out of my system and see how they turn out so I can keep them in mind when moving forward.

I really like the idea of sort of being lost in translation, and quite a 'disorganised' layout, with a mix of English and Japanese, as if someone's had an attempt to translate it but just couldn't translate all of it into English. It adds mystery and curiousness, in my opinion anyway! Especially as the Japanese doesn't make any sense to me, I can't read it.

It might be interesting to turn the tables on this, to make the Japanese native language attempt to translate what would normally be completely British but not coming out right. As if someone's took a british poster and tried to translate the type into Japanese and been half-successful.

Here you can see half of it's in English and half is in Japanese. The English areas make sense to us, but the Japanese areas seem alien.

Maybe I could turn the tables on this and create a lost in translation aesthetic where some of the type is a bit muddled, and kind of half-translated
