As part of our workshop for design principles we were introduced to cameras and the basic functions and features of them. We got to grips with Canon 1000D SLR's an entry level but very useful SLR camera.
It was very helpful and definitely eye opening and skills that will stick with me. Photography is incredibly important to showcase yourself and your work in a professional and effective manner. You don't want little legs and feet in your photos or crap lighting.
Learnt about ISO, which controls the amount of light you let in, shutter speed and aperture and the correct way to adjust each level, in order to get the perfectly exposed image. Once we did this,we deliberately under/over exposed for the desired effect.
Here's how I got on. Some actually came out quite nice, some not so much. I'll crop some of them to get rid of all the tat around them.
