It made sense to me to do a sort of companion booklet for the best man idea. From my research I think it's quite evident there's ALOT for a best man to worry about and alot of things to do, a little sort of notebook/checklist would be helpful? It's purpose is to always be there, a pocket size little notebook thing which just makes life easier.
You tick of things as you do them, along with plenty of space to add your own checklist items and notes, even notes on your best man speech when you get up.
From my research a few sources said, it's better to have a few bullet points to keep your essay in the right direction rather than just reading a speech from paper word for word. I thought once it's folded up it'd be the perfect size for a little note card. Fold it out and you're back to your checklist!
It just seems to make sense to me, but it's a group brief and we all need to be on the same page, so I did a quick knock up on illustrator to illustrate my idea abit clearer
Here's an initial knock up I made. Alot of refinement was needed.
This side, is what you'd see when you held it in hand. It would maybe say "If found, return to..." as it's not something you'd really want to lose as it's an organisation tool.
Here's the flip side, it leaves space for notes, or if you choose, you could jot down notes for your best man speech so you can hold it in your hand as you read the best man speech.
It doesn't close too nice with this folding method, so if i did send it out, it may be an issue but I'm not sure if I would send it out anyway.
Here it is once opened
Close up of letterhead
Checklist. space on the right for you to add your own stuff if you choose to.
Little emblem/logo for our workgroup in the bottom corner?
Turned over, the actual 'notes' section for the best man stuff on the exterior, comes upside down, in the bottom right corner just above the 'if found return to" side. May be an issue in terms of user interaction as they'd have to turn it upside down maybe?
Here it is turned 180 degrees. On this side, I could have anything really. More lines for the full best man speech to be written? It could have useful phone numbers/tips/numbers to ring/useful contacts and things to remember. Motivational quotes, anything. Or just more room for notes for the best man to jot down as and when he needs to.
