100 BOLLYWOOD FILM POSTERS

Here are a selection of bollywood film posters, I'll try and simply document film posters on the whole, with a mixture of good and some that are probably hilarious for the wrong reasons. I really like the early painted posters, I think some of them which may be 'bad' in terms of the rules of design, not that i think that's necessarily a bad thing but I think they have a certain charm to them. I'd love to study them and have a go myself.

The types of movies and the demand and culture has changed towards movies, and the posters reflect that. There's probably many factors such as 50 years ago, India had just gained independence and the economy and attitudes would have been very different to 50 years later when India is one of the major superpowers of the world and has everything going for it in terms of economy and media etc.
