15. Madonna and Guy Ritchie



Madonna and Guy Ritchie were married in 2000, and divorced after 8 years of marriage in 2008. The couple was reportedly worth a combined $525 million, the majority of the fortune belonging to Madonna, $35 million belonging to Ritchie.
But after the split, Madonna handed over millions of her fortune to her ex. Their two adopted children split their time between London and New York City.





14. Sumner and Philys Redstone

Settlement: $100 million
After 52 years of marriage, Sumner and Phyllis Redstone filed for divorce in 1999. While Phyllis was expected to be rewarded between $1.5 billion and $2.5 billion, a source close to the family reported she only ended up with $100 million.





13. Steven Spielberg and Amy Irving

Settlement: $100 million
A California judge refused to recognize the couples prenuptial agreement scrawled on a napkin and awarded Irving $100 million after the four years of marriage in 1989.
Spielberg and Irving dated from 1976 to 1979 when she broke up with him to date Willie Nelson. The two got back together and married in 1985.

And the $100 million that Nordegren received in the settlement was not enough to many woman around the world.

Settlement: $103 Million 
Norman and Andrassy married in 1981 and were divorced in 2006 after 25 years. In September 2007 Norman married tennis star Christine Evert and divorced 18 months later. In 2010 Norman married interior designer Kirsten Kutner.
Adding a bit of insult to injury in 2009, Andrassy alleged Norman shorted her alimony payments by $66,500, out of the $104 million she will receive by 2023, and told her ex he needed to "slow down" in his relationships.

Settlement: $150 Million 
When Diamond and Murphy divorced in 1994 after 25 years of marriage, and Diamond's estate of $300 million was divided up with Murphy receiving half, Diamond had only one thing to say, "She was worth every penny."

Settlement: $168 Million
Michael married Juanita during his second season with the Chicago Bulls in 1989 in a small Las Vegas wedding. They enjoyed 17 years and three children together.
In 2002, Juanita filed for divorce, and instead the couple tried to work things out. But in 2006, the Jordans decided to split for good.
The freshly divorced couple left the courtroom together and went to watch their son play in a basketball game.

In 2007, after the Polskys were married for 31 years Maya filed for divorce. The couple married in the Ukraine in 1975 and came to the United States a year later with only $500 to their name. Maya argued in court that she was her husband's confidant, and responsible for much of his success. For this she was awarded half of his estate.

Settlement: $300 million
Abramovich married Irina in 1991, months before being sent to prison for directing a train-load of diesel fuel worth $3.8 million, from a Moscow station to a Kalingrad military depot with false paperwork.
The couple, married for 16 years, tied the knot in Russia before Abramovich secured the majority of his wealth. They divorced following growing speculation of Roman dating 24-year-old model, Daria Zhukova, who had Abramovich's sixth child in 2009.

Robert L. and Sheila Johnson built their fortune together over 33 years of marriage from 1969-2002 with Ebony Magazine and then BET, which they bought with $15,000 of their own money and $500k in loans. BET sold to Comcast for $3 billion.
Following the divorce, Shelia Johnson married Arlington County Circuit Court Chief Judge William T. Newman, who presided over her divorce.

Years later, Petrina Khashoggi, the couple's daughter, got a DNA test which showed Adnan was not actually her father. Instead, her father is Jonathan Aitken, who Soraya had an affair with.

After 32 years of marriage, the Murdochs called it quits in 1999. Of the 1.7 billion in assets Rupert gave to Anna, $110 million was in cash. After the split, Rupert was married just 17 days later to 30-year-old Wendi Deng, with whom he had an affair while married to Anna.
