Beats Rhymes & Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest

I watched Beats Rhymes & Life yesterday to better understand ATCQ's visual style, it's a documentary following A Tribe Called Quest from the past to present, from the early 90s to now, 20 years later. It really helped me to understand the songwriting, 90s vibe and hip-hop scene and probably most importantly their visual style, in particular during the opening credits.

I mocked up this poster layout last night, from my sketched mock-up, it gives me a good outline to start hand rendering over the top and going a bit mad with!
