Verbal Acrobatics: Record Store visit

Visited Jumbo Records today to get some photos for distribution and also to look into existing examples of vinyl boxsets and dimensions etc. Very useful and will definitely be useful in terms of mocking up contexts and methods of distribution.

The Verbal Acrobatics boxset would be available from Record Stores just like this

This Aretha Franklin is very similar to what I aim to achieve, a slightly thicker record sleeve with a spine, housing a variety of items!

The hip-hop section in Jumbo, where Verbal Acrobatics would be found

Posters on the wall, the typographic stuff from VA could be here

Could even have window displays

When measuring a vinyl and it's housing, I realised my first net is 360mm when it should be around 310-315mm in width and height, so it won't be snug! This isn't as much of an issue for the slot style packaging net I aim to create for a 2nd effort but a simple slide out box, being too big is also not 100% user friendly.

Even found the same LP for one of the records in Verbal Acrobatics! Wu Tang Clan's 36 Chambers album.

I'm also going to make liner wallets for each record to house them safely.
