Tutorial with Fred was really useful today, the feedback for the visuals from our peers and from the tutorial was positive which is great news for us, from feedback from others - we should really show off the visuals and the concept more and a video isn't strictly the only way to do this, Fred mentioned really making amazing boards too which is what we plan to do now.. and then have a shot at the video after as a sort of luxury with no stress as we really feel that could be amazing if we do the idea justice.
We have pretty much all content and individual element finished and designed, so we plan on having the boards done by this week so the boards are ready to go by next week - giving us a week to have a crack at moving image and animating it all together.
## Plan for boards:
1. Impact Board
Large Impact image, similar to billboards for promotion. Eyecatching, sells and suggests the main concept and features of the reinvention clearly and effectively.
2. Concept - Features of BBC Online
Live Feed - live feed of news stories responsive and flexible updates popping off in front of you
Your Feed - news tailoring and filtering for you.
Consistency in design between web and app
Saving and sharing articles to a reading list or to your friends with ease
Movement and flexibility - Live feed being flexible in size
Swiping between pages
No travel between pages, articles and functions as layered overlays not separate pages
3. Reasoning / Focus on design
Grid, app sensibilities and boldness to web
Colour scheme - relatability and easily identifying which story is which
Navigation, swiping/arrow keys and transitions
Article overlays - less clicking
Information always at hand, live weather/date and time always in vision in the top navigation bar
4. Responsive design
Show BBC on desktop, tablet and mobile and flexibility in interface
5. Promotion / Distribution
Billboards
BBC TV spot / would be our video proposal simply on tv
Digital moving posters / Bus stop signage

We had a lot of ideas going on and just to get it out of our system we made a quick mock-up of the beginnings of a first impact board, one idea raised in the tutorial was the idea of the content streaming out of the screen and interacting with you which is a huge part of our concept.
So we came up with this...
Early days yet, this is just the start but for a quick attempt we're both pretty chuffed with this, Eve is going to be doing some rough sketches and idea generation tonight for a high-impact image, almost a promotional poster really. I plan on doing this too and we'll come together tomorrow and crack on with the boards.
