CRIT FEEDBACK + PLAN (2/3/12)

C R I T

We had our crit on Friday. In the end, we decided to actually ditch the conspiracy idea, it was going off on a bit too much of a tangent and we felt that a sort of service/scheme where people can have fun and get things off their chest would be more beneficial to the audience rather than just reading about conspiracies and getting spooked!

So we presented the posting secrets/truths idea. At first, the concept was to hand out postcards, which people would send in to us and we would anonymously blog the secrets so people could get things off their chest and at the same time not get in any trouble, as people often do/have.

The feedback was that a similar scheme already existed regarding the postcards, so we need to change the focus from postcards and make something we can realistically achieve in a week.

What we're going to do is launch a twitter account. People can follow us and tweet us things they want to get off their chest, or any kind of general observation/moan/rant. If they want to remain anonymous they can simply message us on twitter.

The idea is that if they follow us they will constantly see the truths/secrets/rants etc of people sharing opinions, on their newsfeed.

The basis of the project is very simply, it's basically a twitter account. What we need to do is design a logo, decide on a name for the project and then apply this to different promotional merchandise.

We want people to be tempted to check it out and see what it's about. What we're going to make is:

  • Business cards, directing people to the twitter account, possibly with a QR code on too.
  • Stickers with logo, QR codes, and quotes possibly
  • Possibly flyers, which also double up as postcards which they can send in or scan?
  • Possibly make fold up 'lie boxes' that people can make easily and put change into whenever they lie, or keep something in?!
  • Maybe the business cards, or flyers can easily fold into a box
