BUSHIDO: PROGRESS PITCH FEEDBACK

Below is the digital PDF of the research booklet I produced for today's progress pitch workshop, working on the booklet was great fun and so was doing the research, the topic is so large that i still feel there's some research to do - especially in regards to categorisation and organisation if content across the range of products.

Working on the book has forced me to pick a style and identity early on, along with good practice for the future products in terms of layout and binding, I'm pretty happy with the typeface, layout and colour scheme used. With a little refinement I'm ready to go when it comes to applying this towards my product range.

Exciting times!

Here's the digital issuu with feedback from my peers underneath:

Feedback

- 'Art of Peace' booklet really nice touch

- Good mirroring / reference to original book

- Great layout, the book within the book works really well - keep it up!

- Small red booklet in the middle adds an interactive quality and luxury extra. Interesting layout, good structure

- well executed for crit

- Great layout, really like the book in the middle

- binding is so cool, love the stock and the outcome of the printing effect

- really love the front cover and the book, immediately gives a sense of the subject. In terms of layout, maybe the text could be a couple of pt sizes smaller so it has more balance in the layout

- love the insert

- printed really well

- maybe slightly too mad of a layout but looks great

- engaging and the way of interacting from a left hand side pull out is Japanese related

- consider fragmentation of type - sometimes hard to read as you read it the wrong way

- small booklet great idea to add more context and binded well with other pages.

Overall I'm chuffed people are enjoying the insert and the binding as those are areas I want to address moving forward, gone are the days of simply sticking a few staples in. I want to go all out in this brief and I've realised, especially from people noticing and complimenting - small features and details go a long way
